Description
The Pavie Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 9 meters north of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary in Stapleford. It commemorates William Pavie, who died in 1714. The tomb is made of limestone and features one recessed moulded panel on the south side and two recessed moulded panels on the north side, topped with a cavetto-moulded flat top. At the time of the survey in August 1985, the monument was partly sunk.
