ST4817 STOKE SUB HAMDON CP EAST STOKE (South side) 7/292 Staple monument in churchyard, about 11 metres north-east of chancel, Church of St. Xarv the Virgin GV II Altar tomb. C19, Ham stone. Moulded plinth; almost cuboid body with one fielded panel each face, no frieze; mould caving to hipped top with rounded leading edges. Commemorates Martha, wife of Thomas Staple, died 1820, and others.
