Description

Bridge House is a detached house located on the north side of Warminster Road in Stapleford, dating from around 1700, with a north-west range dated 1777 on a tablet at the rear left. The house is rendered with a double Roman tiled roof and gable end brick stacks, forming an L-plan structure. It is two storeys high with a three-windowed front to the 18th-century range. The central entrance features a glazed door, flanked by 16-pane sash windows. The first floor has three 2-light casements.

To the right, there is a late 17th-century range that includes a 4-panelled door to a projecting gable end, with various casements on the right return. The rear of the house displays a plaster date panel on the gable end of the 17th-century range, with a planked door featuring strap hinges to the right in a gabled porch. The 18th-century range to the right has various casements.

Inside, the 17th-century range features an open fireplace and a chamfered beam with stepped stops, while the late 18th-century range includes 6-panelled doors and two Adam-style fireplaces. Attached to the front right is a single-storey outbuilding with a tiled roof and planked doors.
