Description

The Hester and Turner monuments are two chest tombs located about 3.5 metres west of the Church of St Katherine. They date from the early 19th century and are made of limestone. Each tomb features a moulded plinth and rests on low larger chest tombs. They have large beaded panels and moulded flat tops. The inscriptions commemorate members of the Hester family and the Rev. Charles Turner, who died in 1805.
