Description
No. 36 Cross Hayes is a house that has been converted into an office. It dates from the mid to late 18th century and is constructed from roughcast limestone rubble, featuring brick gable stacks and a stone slate roof. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a four-window range. The entrance is located slightly to the right of centre and features a doorway with a small canopy supported by iron brackets, a rectangular overlight, and a six-panel door. The windows are 2/2-pane sashes from the 19th century, and there is a single gabled dormer with a 3/3-pane sash. The interior has been extensively remodelled in the late 20th century.
