Description

The Collett Memorial is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 4 metres north of the north-west corner of the north aisle of the Church of St. Michael. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of limestone in an 18th-century style. The tomb features a plinth and two rectangular fielded panels on the main sides, adorned with balusters and drapery between them, as well as quarter balusters at the corners. It has a grooved frieze with rosettes and a corniced flat top. The memorial commemorates William Collett, who died in 1835.
