Description
No. 85 Greencroft Street is a building dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is likely the former stables and coach house of No. 60 (Croft House) on Bedwin Street, or possibly livery stables. The building is two storeys high and constructed of red brick, topped with a double tiled roof featuring hipped gable ends and a stepped brick eaves cornice.
The north front includes three two-light stone-framed casement windows and a small semi-circular arched stone-framed window, with a hatch over the coach house to the right on the first floor. The ground floor has casements, a segmental arched doorway, and later garage doors leading to the coach house. The gable ends facing the road each have two 19th-century sash windows set in stone frames on both floors.
