Description
Top House is a cottage located at the end of a row on Hindon High Street. It dates from the late 17th century and was rebuilt around 1800. The building is constructed of Flemish bond brick and features a tiled roof with a brick stack on the right side. The gable end faces the road. It is two stories high and has two windows. The front includes a 20th-century door set in a gabled porch with an elliptical arched opening to the left of the center. To the right, there is a three-light casement window, and to the left, a two-light casement window. On the first floor, there are a two-light and a three-light casement window. At the rear, there is a blocked doorway in a wall made of dressed limestone, along with a stone extension that has a 20th-century addition to the right. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in December 1985.
