Description
Stoford Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. It is constructed of pebbledashed chalk and flint, topped with a tiled roof and features gable end brick stacks. The building is designed in an L-shape and is two stories high with three windows, all fitted with sash windows. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door set within a moulded architrave, topped by a flat wooden hood supported by brackets, with a 16-pane flush sash window on either side. The first floor has three 16-pane sash windows. On the left side, there is a lean-to porch with a planked door and a blocked attic window. Attached to the right is an early 20th-century single-storey extension with a hipped roof. At the rear, there is a late 19th-century service wing that features 3-light casements, 12-pane sashes, and a glazed door. Inside, the rear wing contains late 19th-century stairs with turned balusters.
