Description

This milestone, located about 100 metres from the Somerset County boundary to the south-west of Horningsham Village, dates back to the early 18th century. It is made of limestone and features a square cast-iron plate with clear lettering indicating "Longleat/House/2 Miles." This milestone is part of a series of milestones situated both outside and within the park on the approaches to Longleat House.
