Description
Priory Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, which was rebuilt in the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a double-roman tiled roof with a hip to the right and brick stacks. The building is two stories high and has four windows across the front. There is a four-panelled door located in a 19th-century hipped porch to the left of the center, with a 2-light casement window to the left and two 2-light casement windows to the right. On the first floor, there are four 2-light casement windows, all adorned with hoodmoulds.
The left side of the building has an external stack with offsets and a 2-light casement window to the left, along with a blocked first-floor window to the right. At the rear, there is a 19th-century slated verandah and porch, along with 3-light casement windows in the two-story wing. The first floor features a curved projection with a 2-light casement window, and there is a single-storey extension attached to the left with additional casement windows.
Inside, the first-floor right-hand room contains an early 17th-century moulded stone fireplace, with the letters "ER" in plaster above the mantel. The ground floor has a deeply chamfered beam, while other interior fittings, including the stairs and joinery, are from the 19th century.
