Description

Perry Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1700, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone, with a rendered south front, and features triple ridge tiles on a two-span roof with brick stacks at the gable ends. The building is two stories high and has three windows.

The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door set within a 19th-century gabled stone porch that has a segmental-arched opening. On either side of the door are 19th-century three-light ovolo-mullioned casements, with a lintel string course above. The first floor has original three-light ovolo-mullioned casements flanking a central two-light window.

To the right of the main house is an attached two-storey range that includes 20-pane and 16-pane sash windows. The left return features string courses at both the first floor and eaves level, along with 19th-century two-light ovolo-mullioned casements and several blocked openings on the left-hand range. The rear of the farmhouse has two-light casements and two-light ovolo-mullioned casements, along with ovolo-moulded attic lights that have hoodmoulds, one of which is original in the left-hand gable. The right return has an attached lean-to extension with an original two-light ovolo-mullioned casement on the first floor. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in October 1986.
