Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid 17th century, which was remodeled in the early 19th century and again in 1969. It is constructed of rubble with a double Roman tiled roof and rendered stacks. The building has two storeys and attics, featuring three bays with modern casement windows of three and five lights, all set under segmental brick arches. A central gabled, modern projecting porch leads to the entrance, where the original inner door is panelled and adorned with elaborate strap hinges and an ovolo moulded surround.
At the rear, there is a projecting stair tower that includes a 17th-century two-light casement window with ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds, along with a rear wing that has a three-light mullioned casement window. Inside, the left room on the ground floor features a fireplace with a reused beam installed in 1981, which has an ogee moulding; the right inner jamb displays a painting on the plaster depicting leaves flanking a tulip or similar flower. The chamber above contains a panelled door, while the right room on the first floor includes a spice cupboard with scratch mouldings and butterfly hinges. The rear newel stair was renewed in 1982, along with the roof.
