Description
Greystones is a pair of semi-detached cottages, now functioning as one house, dating from the early 18th century. The structure is built of rubble stone and features a thatched roof with a hip on the left side and a brick stack. The gable end faces the road. It is a single storey with an attic and has two windows, which are casements. The entrance includes a four-panelled door with a gabled canopy, accompanied by a 2-light casement to the right, while the left side has a planked door and two 2-light casements. The attic contains two eyebrow dormers, each with 2-light casements. The right side of the building has a 2-light casement on the ground floor and both 3-light and 1-light casements on the first floor. The rear also features casements. Although the interior was not accessible during the survey in June 1985, it is reported to have chamfered beams and an open fireplace. Attached to the right is an 18th-century cottage that is now part of the same house, which includes a large extension added in the 1980s that matches the original style.
