Description
The screen wall to Angel Mill, located opposite Nos 2, 4, 6, and 6A on Church Street in Westbury, was built in 1868. It stands about 15 feet high and serves to screen the loom sheds. The wall is constructed of red brick set on a stone plinth, featuring stone channelled quoins, a moulded cornice, and a coping at the parapet. It includes segmental stone lintels and stone cills for the blind windows, with three blind windows on each side of a segmental headed doorway. This doorway has an architrave surround, a scroll key, and a six-light over light above it.
