Description

The Old Chapel and attached cottage is a building that likely dates from the late 17th century. The chapel, which is now used as a workshop, is constructed of flint with stone quoins, while the cottage is made of Flemish bond brick. Both structures feature a thatched hipped roof, with a brick stack located to the right of the cottage. The layout is L-shaped, with the chapel positioned at right angles to the cottage.

The chapel has a segmental-headed door with six fielded panels on its gable end. On the left side, there are two large four-light casements, and to the right, there is a single-light casement with a two-light fixed window above it, leading to the gallery. The rear of the chapel features two round-headed lights.

The two-storey cottage has a planked door on the right side, with a two-light casement and two single-light casements to the left. On the first floor, there are two two-light casements and a boarded loft door to the right, situated above the door. Inside the cottage, there are chamfered beams and an open fireplace with a chamfered lintel set on brick jambs. The chapel retains a gallery at the south end and features six-panelled doors.
