Description
Yew Tree Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the late 17th century. The left side of the front features chequered flint and limestone, while the right part is constructed of English garden wall bond brick. The house has a half-hipped thatched roof with brick stacks at the gable ends. It follows a gable end baffle-entry plan and is single-storey with an attic, containing two windows. There is a planked door to the right, set in a 19th-century thatched porch, alongside a 4-light casement window with a flat arch, a blocked stone window surround, and a 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement with a hoodmould to the left. The roof features two brick eyebrow dormers with 2-light and 3-light casements. The right side has a lean-to extension from the 20th century, while the left side has a lean-to extension with a slate roof. The interior was not accessible during the survey in March 1986.
