Description
Riverside Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on Church Street in Winterbourne Stoke. It features a distinctive flint and limestone chequerwork exterior and a thatched roof. The cottage is single storey with an attic and consists of two bays. An additional 19th-century rendered bay extends beyond the east gable, along with a tiled lean-to. There is also a single storey lean-to at the west end. The end bay has a half-glazed door with a flat canopy supported by cut brackets. The windows are timber casements with panes, and there are two flush dormers on each side, along with a similar dormer on the added bay. The west lean-to has a hipped roof and one dormer. An axial brick stack is located at the east end of the original structure, with an additional stack added later.
