Description
Old Glebe Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with some reworking in the 19th century. It is constructed from flint and limestone, topped with a 19th-century tiled roof that features banding of fishscale tiles. The left block of the farmhouse is two storeys high with a basement and consists of one bay. The flint walls have thin limestone banding and stone quoins, along with a dripmould at the first floor level. The windows were altered in the 19th century and have brick surrounds for the three-light timber windows, while the return gable features stone-mullioned windows with label moulds. There is a two-bay extension to the south, made of flint and stone chequerwork, which also has a mid-wall dripmould. This extension includes one bay of single-light windows with stone surrounds and an end bay of three-light stone-mullioned windows. The south gable return has similar windows, although the first-floor windows have been removed. At the rear, there is a rendered flat-roofed extension. A brick stack is located at the junction of the buildings. The interior has not been seen but may be of interest.
