Description

Duck Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th century. It is constructed of brick and stone, featuring timber framing in the gable. The roof is half hipped and thatched, with raised dormers. The building has a three-bay plan, with one brick stack located in the center bay. The windows are wood casement types with timber lintels. The original entrance, which was located to the side of the central bay, has been blocked and moved to the left in the 20th century as part of an extension. Four staddle stones are positioned along the front of the building. Inside, there is a stone stack with a chamfered oak lintel.
