Description
Manor House is a house with attached outbuildings, built around 1840 and remodelled around 1880 for Horatio Nelson Goddard. The structure is made of brick with stone dressings and features a stone slate roof. The main block has symmetrical elevations with the entrance located on the south side. It includes stone mullioned windows with timber paned casements, a slated porch, and a corbelled oriel above the entrance, all set within a bargeboarded gable. There are projecting gabled bays to the east, which display the Goddard arms in a panel. The building has flush stone quoins, a tiled rear wing, and brick chimneys topped with stone heads. This well-designed house is an important addition to the nearby church of St. Michael.
