Description
The stable block at the rear of the Pembroke Arms dates from around 1800 and is built of red brick in English bond. It has two storeys and features a band above the ground floor, along with a brick modillion eaves cornice. The roof is tiled. The gault brick apsed end faces the road and includes a moulded plinth, three ranges of segmental headed windows with panels on the first floor, and side piers. There are three arched entrances leading to the former stable yard, with a modern steel lintel for a contemporary bar window. The structure is partly constructed from brick and rubble, and there is a lower two-storey stable to the north.
