Description

The gate piers and gate to Merton Lodge, likely built in the 1850s, feature stuccoed octagonal piers with a plinth and roll moulding beneath two-tier pyramidal caps. The timber gate has chamfered cross-bracing and spike finials above the top rail. This structure is included for its group value with Merton Lodge.
