Description
Undercliff is a house dating from the 1840s, constructed with stucco and featuring a slate roof and stacks with rendered shafts. The building has an L-plan layout, with a main block that is single depth and two rooms wide, along with a projecting wing on the front left.
The exterior is two storeys high with an asymmetrical two-window front. The left wing has a gable facing the front, while the main block has a small gable on the right. There is a moulded string at the first-floor sill level. The first floor likely features secondary canted bay windows with hoodmoulds, and the ground floor has two French windows with hoodmoulds, along with a smaller window that also has a hoodmould. An open verandah supported by posts, with a glazed roof, runs across the front of the main block. There is no grand entrance; instead, a small door is located at the rear. The interior has not been inspected but is known to contain some 19th-century features.
