Description
No. 22 Ash Hill Road is a villa built around the 1840s. It has a plastered exterior and a slate hipped roof, with stacks featuring rendered shafts and moulded cornices. The building has an approximately rectangular shape with a two-storey projecting entrance block on the east side.
The exterior is two storeys high and features a one-window east front with deep eaves and an eaves band. The entrance projection has a hipped roof and includes a recessed half-glazed front door with a plain overlight, all set within a shallow rectangular recess. Above the doorway, there are three sash windows, also in a shallow recess, which are glazed with sashes that have horizontal glazing bars. A conservatory mentioned in a 1975 listing description has been replaced with a flat-roofed single-storey block. Additionally, there is a three-bay verandah on the south side. The interior has not been inspected but may still contain interesting features.
