Description
The Clarence Hotel is a terraced house, currently used as offices, built around the 1830s. It features a plastered exterior and a slate roof, with stacks not visible from the survey. The building has two storeys and a symmetrical three-bay front, with a platband below the parapet. The central front door has three panels, with the lower panel being fielded, and is topped by a timber fanlight with spoke glazing bars. The door is set in a hollow-chamfered round-headed recess. The left and right windows are in round-headed recesses and have been reglazed as two-pane sashes. The three first-floor windows have also been reglazed as two-panel sashes and include fascias for blinds. The interior has not been inspected but may retain interesting features, similar in detail to No. 28.
