Description

COUNTY ROAD SU 18 NE SWINDON 2/58 Cricket Pavilion, Cricket Ground II Cricket pavilion, c1893. Brick and weatherboarded upper floor. Cast iron and corrugated asbestos roof. 2-storey, 9 bays, end bays with gabled changing rooms. 7 bays with cast iron arcade of slender columns and laced brackets to sub roof. Ground floor with margin glazed sashes over bracketed sills, with security netting 1984. Balcony to first floor on bellied iron brackets and central open players stair to pitch. End gabled rooms with margin glazed sashes and central door. Braced timber framing in gables with billetted bargeboards.
