Description
Nos. 415 and 417 on Church Road are a pair of cottages that were originally the Parish Poorhouse. They date from around 1828 and were converted into cottages around 1834. The buildings are constructed from random and snecked rubble and feature double Roman tile roofs. They are two storeys high and have four windows, all of which are mid-19th century margin-glazed sashes with cambered heads. There are two gabled, enclosed porches, each with a six-panel door. To the left, there is a single-storey wing that has a 20th-century door, a cart opening, and an end stack with a cornice.
