Description

This is an early 17th-century house located off Perrinpit Road in Frampton Cotterell. It is built of rubble with double Roman tile roofs. The house originally comprised a cross-passage plan, which has been extended. It has two storeys and an attic, with two windows to the front, all of which are 2- and 3-light casements. Some window stays remain intact, fixed beneath mortared pitched lintels. A central plank door is set within an ovolo-moulded, stop-chamfered frame, and is sheltered by a gabled roof. A further two-storey wing adjoins the south side, featuring one larger transom window. A gabled wing at the north rear creates an L-shaped plan; this wing has two storeys and a single 3-light transmullioned window, matching the front facade. The interior is believed to be of interest, although it is currently inaccessible.
