Description
This late 18th-century barn stands 20 yards north-west of Bagstone Court Farmhouse. It is constructed of rubble and has a double Roman tiled roof. The barn follows a traditional plan, featuring two opposing entries, each with a gabled porch. The east porch has pigeon nesting holes in its gable. Single-storey lean-to additions extend from either side of the east porch; the left-hand addition was originally a two-bay cartshed and may have also functioned as a horse engine house. Inside, the barn has seven bays supported by tie- and collar-beam trusses.
