Description
The Royal Oak Public House is a building dating from the late 16th century to the early 17th century. It is constructed of rubble and features a double Roman tile roof. The building has two storeys and includes four windows, which are 3-light casements. The ground floor windows have stone mullions and surrounds, and they are set beneath drip moulds with returned stops. The entrance features a heavy timber-pegged door frame with a chamfer, a plank door fitted with cast-iron strap hinges, and a timber lintel that has truncated ovolo moulding.
