Description

The war memorial and remains of the town cross, located at the junction of Broad Street and Horse Street in Sodbury, date from the late 14th century and around 1919. The structure features remnants of a medieval cross-shaft and base, which have been incorporated into the 1914-18 war memorial. It is made of ashlar and has a hexagonal shape, standing on four steps. The memorial includes an inscribed section, topped by a plinth and a hexagonal shaft, which supports a 20th-century cross at the top.
