Description

This is an early 17th-century building situated on the south side of Broad Street in Sodbury. It is constructed of rubble and has a double Roman tile roof. The building is two storeys high with a gabled attic. It has two windows; the upper window is a three-light casement with ovolo-moulded surrounds and mullions. The ground floor contains a 19th-century or early 20th-century shop window, complete with wide timber shutters. The front door has a heavy timber frame with a depressed arch, a flat timber hood supported by plain brackets, a studded plank door, and cast-iron strap hinges. It possesses group value from its contribution to the streetscape.
