Description
This is a 17th-century house in Sodbury, which was remodelled in the early 19th century. It is built of coursed rubble and has a pantile roof. The house is three storeys high, with two windows featuring glazing bar sashes. The ground floor now has modern bow windows. A heavy, flat timber hood, supported by brackets, covers a modern door set within a plain painted stone surround. A gabled two-storey wing and a two-storey extension are located at the rear; these were originally separate structures, possibly a cottage or workshop. A date plaque from 1819 marks the date of the remodelling. Inside, the house features chamfered beams.
