Description

These are two late 17th-century buildings, Nos. 3 and 5 Horse Street, in Sodbury, that have been altered over time. The buildings are rendered and have a modern roof. Nos. 3 and 5 present a two-storey facade with three windows on the main block and a one-window extension on No. 5. The first-floor windows are 2- and 3-light casements with chamfered mullions, each protected by a dripmould with return stops; the ground-floor windows are modern. Inside No. 5, original features include wide chamfered beams with run-out stops, an ashlar fireplace with a moulded lintel, and an overmantel.
