Description

The building is a lodge located about 120 metres northwest of Dodington House, dating from the early 19th century with later 20th-century additions. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and rubble, with a brick structure and a slate hipped roof on the original lodge, while the rear addition has a slate roof.

The west front of the single-storey original lodge features a plinth and a round-headed recess that contains a central 9-pane round-headed sash window with splayed glazing bars in the upper section. There is a small blocking course beneath the projecting eaves. To the right and left, there are curved low brick walls, with a 9-pane sash window, a stone parapet, and brick coping on the left side, and a 20th-century door and conical roof on the right.

Attached to the rear right is a two-storey brick cottage, which has a sash window in the gable end and a small 4-pane window at ground floor left. To the right of this is a rubble curtain wall with stone coping, concealing a semi-circular brick addition that features a pointed arched window in a stone surround, along with a single-storey addition that has a sash window to the right. This lodge formerly served as the entrance to the western entry of Dodington Park.
