Description
The Ecott Chest Tomb, located 12 yards southeast of the porch of St. Andrew's Church, is a Grade II listed chest tomb commemorating William Ecott, who died in 1810. It is made of sandstone ashlar and features square inscribed panels, along with a moulded plinth and cornice. This chest tomb is part of a notable collection of local and classical tomb designs and significantly enhances the church's setting.
