Description

Dornden Guest House is an early to mid-18th century building, originally with a front elevation facing west. It is constructed of rubble and has a tiled roof with coped verges. The original part of the building has two storeys and features five windows, each with glazing bar sashes and stone architraves. Later, in the mid-19th century, the building was remodelled and extended, particularly to the south. This work included the addition of two-storey sections with stone gabled attic dormers and glazing bar sash windows. A projecting, single-storey gabled porch was also added. Further extensions have been made to the east of the building. The building possesses group value from its contribution to the surrounding area.
