Description
Nos 45 and 47 Rounceval Street are a pair of 19th-century cottages. They are constructed of rubble, featuring alternating courses of narrow pennant sandstone and limestone, and topped with a Double Roman tile roof. The cottages rise to three storeys, each with one window. The ground floor has low windows; in No 47, this window has been replaced. The first and second floors have 3-light casements set under wooden lintels. In No 47, the second-floor window is blocked, and a dormer has been added. Both cottages have wooden doorcases and 6-panelled doors. No 47 features a later pediment above its door, while No 45 has a flat hood supported by brackets.
