Description

Nos 51 and 57 on Rounceval Street are two houses that remain from a former court of four, dating back to the 17th century and altered in the late 18th century. They are constructed of rubble with a Double Roman tile roof and feature brick chimneys. The buildings are two storeys high and have two windows, which contain glazing bar sashes. There is a wide plank door that leads to a central passageway to the court.

Inside No 51, you can find chamfered beams on the ground floor and a door frame that has ovolo-moulded stopped chamfers. This property is an example of burgage development.
