Description
Nos 1 and 1A on Rounceval Street are 17th-century buildings with a rendered exterior and a Double Roman tiled roof, featuring a brick chimney. The structure is arranged in an 'L' plan, with No 1A as the main block and No 1 forming a broad-gabled projecting wing to the right. No 1 has a single 2-light casement window on the first floor and a modern shop window at ground level. On the side, there is an oak mullioned 3-light casement window, and at the rear, there is a wide arched entrance that is now blocked, featuring a cambered wooden lintel.
No 1A has two windows: 2-light casements on the first floor and a glazing bar sash window on the ground floor. To the left, there is a 19th-century single-storey extension with a tripartite sash window. A flat stone hood on brackets is positioned above the door.
