Description

Nos 57 and 59 on London Street are a pair of 18th century cottages built from rubble stone. No 57 is painted and has two storeys with a modern tile roof, while No 59 features a stone tiled roof and one gabled dormer. The front of No 57 has a two-window range, and No 59 has one window, both with triple casements and stone window heads. The sides of the windows on No 59 are made of brick. The ground floor of No 57 has a central through passage door with a stone lintel, double doors that are half glazed, and a triple casement window. No 59 has a 15-pane window and a door, both with brick sides. The rear gables of both cottages are made of rubble stone and have end wall stacks.
