Description
The Folly Inn is an early 19th-century building made of painted brick. It is two stories tall and features a modern tiled roof with a stack at the east end. The building has three windows, with pairs of casements above and triple casements below, all set in recesses with cambered heads. There is a central door with a hood above it and a blank window located above the door. A brick band runs between the two floors, and there is a stone plinth at the base. The east end wall is constructed of rubble stone. Nos 48-54 London Street, including The Folly Inn, form an important group at the entry to Faringdon from the east.
