Description
This chest tomb, dating from the late 18th century, is located 8 yards to the east of the east end of the north aisle of the Parish Church of St Mary in Marshfield. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features square panels, enriched corner balusters, and curved ends, along with an entablature and a moulded cornice. The chest tombs are a notable collection of classical and traditional tomb designs and significantly enhance the church's setting.
