Description

The Holbert Tomb is an early 19th-century chest tomb located 5 yards southeast of the southeast corner of the chancel of the Parish Church of St Mary in Marshfield. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features enriched pilasters and corner balusters, square panels, and a moulded cornice. This tomb is part of a notable collection of classical and local tomb designs and significantly enhances the church's setting.
