Description
This chest tomb, dating from the late 18th century, is located 6 yards to the northeast of the northeast corner of the north aisle of the Parish Church of St Mary in Marshfield. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features oval panels, enriched balusters, and curved ends. The tomb is topped with an entablature and a moulded cornice. This chest tomb is part of a notable collection of classical and local tomb forms, significantly enhancing the church's setting.
