Description

This double chest tomb, dating from the late 18th century, is located 15 yards southeast of the south porch of the Parish Church of St Mary in Marshfield. It is made of limestone ashlar and features oval panels along with enriched pilasters topped by a moulded cornice. This tomb is a rare example of a double tomb and is part of a notable collection of classical and local tomb forms, enhancing the church's setting.
