Description
This is a barn located about 25 metres south of Old Manor Farmhouse, dating from the 17th century with later alterations. It is constructed from limestone rubble and features a pantiled roof. The front of the barn has an external stair leading to a loading door with a timber lintel, and there is a blocked window under the eaves to the right. There are owlhole openings on both the left side and the right returns. The rear of the barn includes a single-storey 20th-century lean-to. Inside, there is a stone floor, a door with strap hinges, and a heavy timber lintel in the rear wall. The roof has five bays with replacement tie-beams, collars, principal rafters, and two rows of earlier purlins, along with a ridge purlin featuring plated yokes. Some purlins have been reinforced, and there is an additional 20th-century scissors truss.
