Description
The former kitchen block located to the north of Home Farmhouse is a detached structure dating from the 17th century, with remodeling that occurred in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of rubble and is painted on the south side, featuring a mid-19th century pantiled roof and a brick chimney on the east side. It is two stories tall. A door, which replaces a window, is situated under a timber lintel on the south side, and the building is accessed from the west. The upper floor is illuminated by light coming from the east gable. Inside, there is a large fireplace with a timber lintel dating from the mid-19th century, making this an unusual survival of its kind.
