Description
Nut Tree Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse located on the south side of Barton Lane in Winscombe. The building is rendered and features a pantile roof with three chimneys. It has two storeys and a total of five windows, which include two, three, and four light casements. On the ground floor, there are two windows with drips, one of which is off centre to the right and has stone mullions. The window above it also features mullions. There is a gabled porch from the 20th century with a keyhole entry and a half-glazed door. The right bay of the farmhouse is also from the 20th century.
Inside, the farmhouse has deep chamfered beams in the central three bays, while the left hood bay features an 18th-century ridge stop spine beam. There is a large fireplace at the west end, which is currently masked. The two mullioned windows have a rebated chamfer on the inside.
